Applications are now being accepted for the position of Cashier Supervisor.

FUNCTION: Oversees Cashiering Department. Provide a high level of customer service and maintain a courteous and professional relationship with customers.  Assure that transactions balance to paperwork and printouts.  Prepare various reports for Finance Department and serves as a cashier.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assure that cashiers have adequate change and bills Maintain and order register supplies, stock as needed. Perform all register tasks including cash, check, credit card payments and serve as cashier. Oversee cash transactions, cash reconciliations, account payments, account receivables and other accounting duties accounting duties according to company policies. Processes and reconciles online payments and electronic bank transactions. Ensure customer transactions are processed promptly and accurately. Give daily reports to finance and close out business day. Prepare account and monthly department reports. Manage personnel, including timesheets, interviewing and hiring new employees, performance evaluations, employee morale, training and security. Participate, provide feedback and assist with implementing new solutions that advance GEUS’s mission and promote efficiencies. Maintain positive communications with other GEUS and City of Greenville departments Respond to the public. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential job functions. Perform other duties as assigned to assure GEUS operations and services. The primary responsibilities only include essential functions of the job and does not imply that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position.  Employees will be required to follow any other job-related instruction and to perform any other job-related duties requested by supervisor or management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: Minimum five years’ experience in payment management including cash, credit and online payment methods. Minimum 2 years supervisory experience. Strong technical skills with importing & exporting files, use of Excel, Word and Microsoft Office. Solid customer service skills including experience working with the public. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with employees in a close, open office environment and work well under pressure.

PHYSICAL EFFORT: 1. Approximately 15% sitting, 50% standing, 30% moving about, and 5% lifting/moving objects; occasionally lifts from floor to knuckle items, weighing 10 to 20 pounds

Pay Rate: DOQ plus
